Commonly known as boxmaker's wood, these thin sheets of solid timber, are re-sawn from thicker sheets that have already been fully dried so as to avoid any warping as the wood dries. They are then accurately sanded down to the thickness needed.
These versatile sheets find a range of applications, including box making, jewellery crafting, furniture restoration, model building, marquetry, luthiery, intarsia, and other woodworking and design projects. In addition to laser cutting, they can also be used for steam bending and curved laminations.
As the wood is unfinished it is ready for any finish you wish to apply, such as varnish, stain or paint. It is supplied ready sanded with a perfect smooth surface.
All sizes are nominal/ approx. To purchase sheet sizes not listed or sold out products please send us an email to info@sketchlasercutting.co.uk, or contact us via the link below to place your order.

Please note that wood is a natural material the grain and colour will vary from sheet to sheet. As the wood is planed very thin please bear in mind that although every effort is made for the sheets to remain as flat as possible, changing temperatures and humidity levels can cause slight warping/ bends in the wood. These features are normal and due to it being a natural material, it is not a fault with the product.
